On this trip we will hike for 5-7 hours per day, all the while at an altitude of about 2900m, where we will have impressive view points of the snowy mountains peaks and many beautiful lakes. We will camp close to communities in order to be able to observe and appreciate the art and the textile that is conserved by these communities.
LARES - MACHUPICCHU & HUAYNAPICCHU 4 DAYS- 3NIGHTS
DAY 1 CUSCO – CALCA BAÑOS TERMALES DE LARES QUNQANI
We leave at 6:00 a.m. in private transportation heading for the SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS, and the district of LARES passing by AMPARAES (4850 meters). We will descend to arrive at the LARES district, with attractions like the medicinal baths that have curing effects for the malaises of muscular pain, stress and others. After our lunch, we will have a short hike of three hours or to WQUNQANI where we will spend the night.
DAY 2 WACA WASI – LAGUNA SIPSAY PATACANCHA
After our breakfast we will begin our hike in the Valley of LARES. Learning about and appreciating the customs of the settlers of that place who assimilated the customs and traditions from generation to generation.
After this we will have our lunch around the lagoon SIPSAY (4.100 meters). We will ascend and cross by small towns where we will appreciate the typical clothes of the area, the flora, and fauna of LARES like Guayabas, alpacas and llamas, etc.
We will Arrive at our camping in the PATACANCHA town.
DAY 3 PATACANCHA WILLOQ PUMAMARCAOLLANTAYTAMBO MACHUPICCHU
Continuing our descend along the Inca Trail we will be able to appreciate the archaeological rests of PUMAMARCA. We will descend to OLLANTAYTAMBO where we will have our dinner. After this we will go to the station to take the train towards MACHUPICCHU where we will rest in a hostel.
DAY 4 MACHUPICCHU
After breakfast we will have a guided visit in MACHUPICCHU. Soon after we will descend to AGUAS CALIENTES, where we will have the thermal medicinal baths.
In the afternoon we will take our return train to OLLANTAYTAMBO, from where we will take the bus towards CUSCO.
