03 DAYS – 02 NIGHTS

DAY 01 RIO DE JANEIRO
Arrival in the Airport of Rio and transfer to your hotel.  Remainder of day free.

DAY 02 RIO DE JANEIRO
Full day tour of Rio.  Ride to the top of Corcovado Mountain by train for the famous panoramic view of the city.  Visit to Taunay Falls in beautiful Tijuca Forest.  Drive by Barra da Tijuca and southern Rio Beaches.  Lunch at typical Brazilian barbecue restaurant.

Visit to the Metropolitan cathedral and go on a sightseeing tour of the monuments of Rio.  Pass by the Maracanã Soccer Stadium, returning by Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Go to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, viewing the city from the Cable Car.

DAY 03  RIO DE JANEIRO
Free day to explore Rio.   You can relax on one of the famous beaches (Copacabana, Ipanema, etc), do some shopping or join another tour.

OPTIONAL TOURS

SUGAR LOAF TOUR
Sugar Loaf Tour (3 hours) - Ascend by cable car to the Sugar Loaf Mountain.  Drive through Flamengo Park and downtown.  Also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, samba stadium and view of the monuments of Rio.

FULL DAY CORCOVADI & SUGAR LOAF
Full Day Tour of Corcovado and the Sugar Loaf (7 hours) - Full-day tour, combination of tours above, including lunch at one of the famous Brazilian "churrascarias" (barbecue restaurants).

TROPICAL ISLAND
Tropical Island Tour (8 hours) - A schooner cruise across Itacurussa Bay, bringing you to a Tropical Island, with white soft sands and clear blue water.  A tropical lunch is served during the tour.

PETROPOLIS
Petropolis Tour (8 hours) - located in the Organ Mountains at the top of a beautiful winding highway, Petropolis is famous pottery.  Cobblestone streets, horse and buggies, tree-lined squares, once the summer capital of Brazil.  Visit the Emperor's Palace, now the Imperial Museum housing the crown jewels, antiques and treasures from the past.  Also visit  the Neo-Gothic Cathedral with the Royal Tombs, the goat square and the Flower Clock.

RIO BY NIGHT
Rio by Night (4 hours) - Dinner will be served at one of Rio's excellent restaurants.  Then a Samba Show, where "mulatas" exhibit the intricate steps of Brazilian samba while  "batuqueiros" produce an intoxicating beat with exotic percussion instruments at show-house Plataforma One.
