-Day 11 Wiñaywayna – Machupicchu –Cusco
The following day very early in the morning about 04.15 am, we leave Winñaywayna for the Untipunku or "Gate of the Sun" where will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the MachuPicchu citadel at sunrise. From this point, the astonished traveler can contemplate the majesty and grandeur of Machu Picchu. After a short hike down to Machu Picchu, we register and start on 3 hour guided visit. After enjoying the remains, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes where you will have free time to enjoy the town before we return to Cusco.
Today you will enjoy your lunch at Inkaterra.
Machu Picchu: is the Inca City; and many claim it to be the most beautiful, best preserved and most famous fortress in the world. The city was considered lost for many centuries, covered as it was by lush vegetation typical of the Southern Peruvian Andes cloud forest. Overnight in Cusco.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima . Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Lima
-Day 13
Transfer to the bus station . Your bus to Huaraz leaves around 09:30, arriving at 17:00hrs Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Huaraz
-Day 14
Departure. Journey from Huaraz (10,171 ft.) to Caraz ( 7,513 ft.). Ascent (by bus) to Cashapampa town (9,514 ft.) from where we start the trekking to the quebrada Santa Cruz. Camp on the Ichiccocha lake.
-Day 15
Ascent from the lake to Taullipampa, a place where you can see a diversity of flora and fauna during the whole ascent. Camp over Taullipampa.
-Day 16
In the morning, ascent through the quebrada Santa Cruz until reaching the Jatuncocha lake, from where we can see the Taulliraju(19,127 ft.), Quitaraju (19,803 ft.) Santa Cruz (20,535 ft.) and Artesonraju(19,767 ft.) mountains. Leaving the lake, we ascend to the first pass called punta unión (15,584 ft.) There is a colonial route that was used as a commercial route with the Andean west regions. After reaching the pass we finally descend towards Tuctu, where the camp will be instaled.
-Day 17
We will see beautiful landscapes during our journey that starts in Tuctu an continues in the quebrada Huaripampa, where it is possible to see the Paria mountains (18,007 ft.). After leaving several villages we will arrive to Vaquería, where we will install the next camp.
-Day 18
Early in the morning, we will leave the last camp towards the second pass: Portachuelo llanganuco (15,584 ft.). During the journey we will find ourselves rounded by lots of "quenual" trees and after reaching the pass we observe the Chopicalqui (20,846 ft.), North and South Huascaran (21,834 ft. - 22,205 ft.) Chacraraju (20,252 ft.) Yanapaccha (17,474 ft.) and Pisco (18,865 ft.) mountains. Before taking the bus that will return us to Huaraz we reach the Llanganuco lake (chinacocha-12,631 ft.), a beautiful lake because of its incomparable color.

Bus from Huaraz to Lima. Arrival in Lima around 18:00hrs. |
