Day 01 Cusco - Mollepata - Markokasa
Pick up at your hotel in private bus which will take us to the picturesque small villages of the Pampa de Anta (Izcuchaca, Zurite, Ancahuasi). Later we will Limatamb Valley, where we will be able to see Tarawas ruins before continuing to Mollepata, the place where we will start our hike, moving towards our first camp, Markokasa.
Day 02 Markokasa - Choqekiclla - Soraypampa.
After breakfast, we will start our second day of hiking towards Choqukiclla. From there we will be able appreciate the magical, snowy mountain peak of Salkantay Humantay, which at its base we will camp, at approximately 4000m.
Day 03 Soraypampa - Pampa Japonesa - Canal Inca
After breakfast, we will begin our hike to Mt. Salkantay, and later will continue all the way down towards the Canal Inca Valley, where we will be able to observe the marvellous landscape. Here we will camp and have dinner.
Day 04 Canal Inca - Tres Piedras - Llullchapamp
After breakfast we will start on our way to Canal Inca (the Inca canal), that will lead towards Paucarcancha, entering the Cusichaca valley until we arrive at Llulluchapampa (Inkaraccay), our camp.
Day 05 Llullchapamp – Pacaymayu - Sayacmarca
After breakfast we will start our hike up to the first peak, Warmiwañuska (4200m), which is the highest point of the Inca Trail. Later we will descend towards Pacatmayu Valley, where we will camp.
Day 06 Sayacmarca – Phuyupatamarca - Wiñayhuayna
After breakfast we will start our hike, which today will pass through various ecological zones of flora, and wildlife. We will also visit various archaeological groups during the day. Finally, we will set up camp for the night.
Day 07 Wiñayhuayna – Machupicchu - Cusco
After breakfast, we will make one last effort after 7 days of hiking, to enjoy the panoramic view that offers us our last part of hiking, which will take us to Inti Punko (the sun gate), from where we will be able to see the wonderful city, MachuPicchu. We will have a guided tour and free time, and later we will head down towards Aguas Calientes, from where we will take the train to Cusco. |
